Dissemination and Networking Activities in Slovakia
This dissemination activity provided a valuable opportunity to present the project to a broad audience, including beekeepers, local stakeholders, representatives of the wider public, and individuals interested in rural development, sustainability, and entrepreneurship. As this was a well-attended public event open to the general public, it attracted a large number of visitors, including many families with children, creating an ideal environment for outreach and awareness-raising.
The main objective of the activity was to increase awareness of the project’s goals, activities, and expected outcomes, with particular emphasis on vocational education, social entrepreneurship, innovation, and the role of apiculture in supporting sustainable rural development. Special attention was given to presenting the project’s focus on empowering women, young people, and other target groups through education, skills development, and opportunities for social business creation in the apiculture sector. In this context, the event was particularly relevant, as women on maternity or parental leave are often considered a disadvantaged target group in terms of access to employment, training opportunities, and social inclusion.
