Financing social business in Europe

Dissemination activities

The dissemination and networking events will showcase the project’s vocational training program, project website, social media tools, successful case studies, and a business manual with best business and financial practices. They will emphasize the value of social businesses in apiculture for strengthening local economies and improving the quality of life. Partners will share knowledge and experiences with diverse audiences, including women, youth, migrants, people with disabilities, unemployed individuals, and people recently released from prison, highlighting opportunities in social entrepreneurship and innovation. The events will also bring together businesses, universities, municipalities, civic organizations, and policymakers to encourage collaboration, startup creation, and resource-sharing. By fostering networks and partnerships, these activities aim to expand the impact of social entrepreneurship across Europe.

Financing social business in Europe is vital for building inclusive and sustainable economies. These enterprises combine financial sustainability with a strong social or environmental mission, yet often struggle to access traditional funding. To support them, Europe offers diverse tools such as impact investment funds, social impact bonds, microfinance, and EU-backed programs like InvestEU. National schemes, tax incentives, and community-based crowdfunding further strengthen the ecosystem. By blending public and private capital, Europe empowers social businesses to innovate, scale, and maximize their impact. Effective financing ensures they can continue driving meaningful social change across communities.
